Last Day and Graduation!!!

We had fun cleaning up and taking things home on the last day of class. We also practiced for our graduation ceremony.

On graduation day we took a tour of the Elementary school in the morning and then had graduation and a pizza party that evening.

We had a great second year with these students. We are excited for the ones who will be going into Kindergarten and know that they will do amazing. We're also excited to have those coming back to do another year with us. We love and appreciate each one of them and their families.

The Post Office

We walked to the post office and learned all about mail. We got to help sort the mail and each went home with their own little parcel!

Thank you Nyssa Post Office for taking such good care of us and letting us "help" you with your job!

A visit from the police!

As 'Part 2' of our community helpers unit we had a sheriffs deputy, Pete Jensen, come over and teach about police officers and how to stay safe.

After he taught them about stranger danger, bike safety, etc then they got to go outside and take a look at  and sit in his police car.

Looking at the lights.

They thought it was really cool that there were lights on the back as well.

Thank you Officer Pete for coming to teach about how to stay safe.

The sense of taste!

We learned about our senses and for taste, we had sweet, salty, bitter and sour. Here they are trying out lemons. Every kid was willing to do it and we had a lot of fun. Most of them really liked them and wanted more.

End of the year trip to the zoo!

With both teachers having fall babies this year we took a spring trip to the zoo. It was a perfect day for it!!

The kids loved this monkey. He came and sat down with his arms folded and watched us.

We had a ton of fun at the zoo!! It's fun to learn about animals and then get to see them!
